PCS Season is approaching quickly, which means the War Eagle Foundation will be losing many of its wonderful volunteers very soon! If you enjoy giving back and helping others, we need you! The War Eagle Foundation is a great place to start volunteering and we have several board member and liaison positions available! Please email president@wareaglefoundation.org if you are interested! We would be more than happy to provide you with more information about how you could use your talents to contribute to our organization! We look forward to having you aboard!
War Eagle Shirt Update

Thank you for everyone who helped make the War Eagle Under Armour shirts a success! We have enjoyed seeing both soldiers and family members wearing their War Eagle shirts with pride! We are not currently placing any more orders, but will be sure to let you know when we do!

The War Eagle Foundation's 2nd Annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa 2012 is coming up soon! Bring your appetite and your camera so you can enjoy this fun family activity! Open to the entire Graf and Vilseck military communities! Limited number of tickets available, so buy your tickets early!
The details:

Date: Saturday, December 8th 
Time: 8:00-11:00 am (open house)
Location: Vilseck Elementary School Cafeteria
Cost: Youth (ages 2-12): $5, Adult (ages 12+): $7
*War Eagle Foundation members receive a $1 discount/ticket
**Tickets purchased at the door will cost an additional $1/ticket

War Eagle Foundation Accomplishments
  • Donated a memorial to the Squadron classroom
  • Raised more than $16,000 since July 2008
  • Provided warm blankets and toiletries for single soldiers upon redeployment in Oct. 2008
  • Contributed $4,000 to travel expenses for families of fallen soldiers who traveled to Germany for the memorial service in 2008
  • Contributed $1,000 to travel expenses for the family of a single soldier hospitalized with critical injuries
  • Contributed more than $1,000 to the soldiers' homecoming ball
  • Contributed more than $1,500 to the soldiers' equipment for their softball teams
  • We provided over 550 soldiers with towels, hand towels, and wash cloths upon redeployment in May 2011
  • Raised over $5,000 for the squadron in 2011
  • Contributed $3,000 to the 2011 Squadron Picnic/Volunteer Ceremony
  • We were privileged to donated to the Fallen Soldier Memorial Ceremony in July 2011
  • Over $1,000 raised at our Pancake Breakfast with Santa for soldiers & families of the squadron
  • Contributed over $1000 to the War Eagle Dining Out in March 2012 to keep ticket costs low for families
  • Sponsored and hosted the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in April 2012
  • Donated prizes to the BOSS (Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers) poker tournament in August 2012
  • Designed and facilitated the ordering War Eagle Under Armour Shirts during the summer of 2012
